A couple of friends had mentioned they had signed up to do the 12 week weight loss challenge. I’m not one to watch what I eat or drink with the last diet I did being in 2003 after my first child. But I decided that maybe it would be now or never and so I emailed Kat and luckily she had just opened up a few new spaces as it had been fully booked.
In all honesty, I am finding this diet much easier than the one I did way back when. The diet Kat has put together really confirmed that eating food your grandparents wouldn’t recognise probably isn’t going to be good for you. But then, I do not deprive myself either. If I really want something, I will have it but a much much smaller amount than in the past and instead of something else – not as well as!
I was already exercising 3 days a week fairly religiously but Kat’s Tuesday Boxing class is really doing it for me – I love it and it is really helping me tone up. Luckily I have a very dedicated side-kick who helps keep me in line with attendance and encourages me during the class. Having an exercise buddy definitely makes it more fun and I am now exercising at least 4-5 times a week and feeling so much fitter.
I set out to lose about 12kg. That would get me to a weight I know I can maintain. So far I have lost just over 8kg so my goal is looking well within reach – stoked!
