Hi, my name is Rachael.
8 1/2 years ago I met Kat at ante-natal classes, she was pregnant with Savannah & I was pregnant with my first baby, Eli. 5 years later we met up again as our kids started in the same class at school. Kat told me about her circuit classes and I told her that I was happy doing Pilates once a week. But I decided I would come and try one of her classes.
So I went to a circuit class one cold Thursday night and LOVED it. I remember arriving home already sore as I walked up the steps to my house. I could not believe something so awesome was in my neighbourhood! I haven't looked back and those that know me can tell you that Stellar Fitness classes are not just something I do but a huge part of my life.
I love working out and even though it has been 3 years since I started circuit it is never boring, always a challenge and always just what I need at the end of a day, whether it has been a busy one or a quiet one. I love getting my sweat on and challenging myself to work harder every time.
I have taken part in a few weight-loss challenges with great results. In the last year I have had a few health issues including having my thyroid removed. This has meant that I've missed the odd class and that my weight has fluctuated quite a bit. In the last couple of months I have really felt those extra kilos as everything becomes a bit harder. I hate feeling the extra kilos weighing me down as I work out so I've started the latest weight-loss challenge.
So far so good. Already I'm feeling stronger again in class as my body has the right fuel in it. But it is a process, a real mental game and like other challenges I'm taking it one day at a time and celebrating the small achievements, while keeping my focus on how good it is to be LIGHTER, STRONGER, FITTER, HEALTHIER!! So for anyone reading this doing your first challenge, yes it is hard, but please don't give up, you will LOVE the new you if you stick at it.
Thanks Kat, you truly are an inspiration to me and I am so thankful for your classes (right on my doorstep).
